Oh Wines

August 23, 2008

My second label:  Oh Wines.  Both of the Oh Pinot Noirs are in stores and restaurants now.  You can order them through the tasting room:  The Wine Center of Carmel Valley at Rosie's Cracker Barrel.  Tremendous Pinot Noirs.  Wait until you taste them...

Oh Pinot Noir, Santa Lucia Highlands 2006

It all starts with quality grapes.  This is a fruity wine with cherries, raspberries, and a nice long silky finish.  Very nice balance and very easy to sip.  Aged in French oak, 50% new and 50% one and two year old.  This will pair well with lamb, steaks, chicken, salmon, and bar-b-ques.

Oh Pinot Noir, Balo Vineyard, Anderson Valley 2006

It get’s better as it goes.  This will age for five to 10 years.  It starts with a darker intense color, nice cherry preserves with tannins, and a rich syrupy finish.  Aged in French oak, 50% new and 50% one to two year old.  This wine will pair well with filet mignon, Kobe steak, rack of lamb, or with dark chocolate; especially chocolate truffles.
