Tasting Notes

Riesling

The grapes are from 30 year old vines up in the Santa Lucia Highlands. This is a very refreshing wine with red apple, and hints of honey and figs. Very clean finish with a right amount of sweetness. However, it's not too sweet or buttery. Thus, it will go well with blacken chicken, halibut or sole with a mango salsa sauce, curries, pork with a chutney sauce, and everything sweet and/or spicy. It will go great with dessert as well.

You can also drink it by itself. Cheers!

Chardonnay

The grapes are from the old vines up in the Santa Lucia Highlands. What a well balanced wine. Partial nuetral oak with partial malolactic fermentation. You'll get a hints of butterscotch, tropical fruits, honey, and a slight citrus at the end. Very clean finish. This will pair well with crab, salmon, chicken, halibut, sand dabs, cheeses and fruits, or pretty much all seafood. You can also drink it by itself.

It's refreshingly Monterey! Cheers!

Syrah

The grapes are from the newer vines up into the Arroyo Seco Canyon, just north of the Arroyo Seco River. French oak with micro oxygenation, aged 20 months in oak. You'll get blackberries, cherry cola, smoky aroma, deep ruby color, with a clean finish. Another well balanced wine, from start to finish. This will pair well with ribs, chicken, pizzas, cheeses and fruits, bar-b-ques, milk chocolates, and wild mushrooms.

You can also drink it by itself. Cheers!

Pinot Noir

The grapes are from Santa Lucia Highlands, Monterey County. Aged in French oak for about a year with 1/3 new oak. You'll get spices, cherries, red berries, strawberries with a velvety finish. Pairs well with lamb, chicken, pizzas, and steaks.

Or try it by itself! Cheers!

Gewurztraminer

Traditional Alsatian style dry Gewurztraminer made from Monterey County grapes.  Nice floral bouquet with lychee, honeydew, great acidity and minerality on the finish.

Or try it by itself! Cheers!
